I got off the couch last year after 15 years away from the shoes!!  That's an accomplishment in itself.

 

Short-Term Running Goals:

2011

Complete a Sprint Triathlon and ride in Tour De Cure

2012

Complete a Olympic Distance Triathlon and complete a century ride.

Long-Term Running Goals:

I have only one goal long term and it's to work my way up to a Half Ironman.  I'm seeing this as a 5 year goal.

Personal:

Married with 4 kids.  I'm fat and slow.  Someday I hope I'm just slow.

Hey guys I've been away for a week. We've had company in and I needed to curb my normal workouts to spend time with everyone. 

We did 22 miles today. It was really nice to get on the bike.  Another bit of great news is that my new bike is completed and I rode it today for the first time. I'll post more information on it in the bike section. I'm still tweaking it so that it fits me.

I ran my best 3 mile tonight at 37:40. Things are moving along. I'm starting to push my speed at this distance and working on extending my distance. I'd like to be at 36:00 by the end of the month. I'm going to start running another day a week and biking an additional day.

15 miles - 15.4mph average

Really nice bike ride today. I really feel like I'm improving. The extra day a week is surely going to help. I'm having a little pain in my right knee on top of my knee cap.  Not real sure what that is about but I suspect my seat needs to come up a hair. Anyway I've got one more ride this week on Saturday.
